Six Indian films, including works by filmmakers Rima Das, Anuparna Roy and Leo Thaddeus, have been selected for the 31st Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
According to a PTI report from Mumbai, the selected films are Rima Das’ ‘Not A Hero’, Anuparna Roy’s ‘Lovers in the Blue Light’, Leo Thaddeus’ ‘The Soul Whisperer’ and Vishwendra Singh’s ‘Khoriya’. Sahil Shah’s ‘Birds on Ice’ and Sandeep Kumar Paul’s ‘About an Intimate Matter’ are also part of the festival selection.
All six films will have their world premiere in the ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ section. The section showcases new and notable films from filmmakers across Asia.
The selection gives the six Indian films an international platform and brings their stories to audiences and industry professionals attending the festival.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 6 to 15 in Busan, South Korea. The festival will feature films from across Asia and other parts of the world.
