Mohalla Tech, the parent company of ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV, has partnered with Pratilipi’s Double Tap Films to turn more than 75 popular stories into microdramas.
Under the partnership, selected stories from Pratilipi will be adapted into short episode based video series. The microdramas will be distributed on ShareChat, Moj and QuickTV.
According to The Economic Times report today , the stories will be selected based on their popularity and reader engagement on Pratilipi. This will help popular written stories reach audiences in a new video format.
Microdramas are short fictional shows that are released in brief episodes. The format is becoming popular as more viewers prefer short and easy to watch video content.
The partnership will also give writers and creators an opportunity to take their stories beyond the written format and reach a wider audience through short form video content.
