Actor Akshay Oberoi has joined the season four cast of Prakash Jha’s ‘Aashram’, headlined by Bobby Deol. The actor, who also features in Yash’s ‘Toxic’ as well Shah Rukh Khan-led ‘King’, said joining a show like ‘Aashram’ was genuinely exciting.
“Prakash Jha sir has a very unique way of telling stories, and the characters in this universe are never straightforward. When I heard about my character, I was immediately intrigued,” he said in a statement, according to a PTI report yesterday.
On social media, Akshay announced his association with the series saying, “Joining a show like ‘Aashram’ is genuinely exciting because it has created such a strong and distinctive world over the years.
“There is a lot I cannot reveal at this stage because we are keeping the details under wraps, but I can say that it is a role that challenged me and made me very excited to come on board. I’m really looking forward to being part of this world and working with Prakash Jha and the incredible team.”
Oberoi will be joining Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Parinitaa Seth, Khan Jahangir Khan, Tanmay Ranjan, Sachin Shroff and Preeti Sood, who are returning from earlier seasons, in season 4.
The new season will also feature some fresh additions like Neetu Chandra Srivastava, Pankhuri Gidwani, Armaan Parikh and Dhruv Chaudhary.
The series is produced by Dishaa Jha under Prakash Jha Pictures and Rishabh Kohli under Parivartan Pictures.
