Commonwealth Games 2026 champions Lovlina Borgohain, Asmita Dey, Jhandu Kumar and Sharmila Dhankar recently appeared on Amitabh Bachchan-hosted quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ Season 18.

According to an ANI report from Mumbai yesterday,the special episode celebrated the athletes and their achievements at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. They spoke about their sporting journeys, the challenges they faced and their experiences of representing India at the international level.

Judoka Asmita Dey made history by winning India’s first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in judo. She spoke about her journey and said that appearing on KBC was a special moment for her, as she had grown up watching the show with her family.

Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who won a silver medal in the 75 kg category, compared sitting on the KBC hotseat with the pressure of competing in a boxing ring. She said the experience tested her mental sharpness in a different way.

Para-athlete Sharmila Dhankar also shared her journey and spoke about the challenges faced by athletes away from the spotlight. Jhandu Kumar, who won India’s first medal at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in men’s heavyweight para-powerlifting, also discussed his sporting journey.
