News18 Bangla has strengthened its editorial leadership team with the appointment of Raja Chatterjee as Editor, News18 Bangla, and Anirban Sinha as Editor Output.

According to a News18 Bangla press release from Kolkata today, Kamalika Sengupta, who represents CNN-News18 in the East, will also play an important role in strengthening the channel’s editorial coverage. She will bring her experience and expertise from CNN-News18 to the channel’s editorial operations.

Raja Chatterjee has worked across leading media platforms and has a long career in Bengali media. Anirban Sinha is a familiar face in Bengali news and brings experience in shaping compelling and audience-focused news output.

The strengthened editorial team will work under Dhrubajyoti Pramanik, Managing Editor, Network18. He has more than three decades of experience in the Indian media industry and has worked across different regional media markets.

Under Pramanik’s leadership, News18 Marathi achieved the No. 1 position in Maharashtra, while News18 Odia and News18 Assam Northeast have also witnessed significant editorial growth and turnaround in their respective markets.

With the new leadership team, News18 Bangla will focus on news-driven programming, in-depth reporting and stories that matter to viewers.

The channel will continue its focus on local and hyperlocal news across West Bengal while also using Network18’s wider newsgathering capabilities to provide comprehensive national and international coverage across television, Connected TV, digital, social media and web platforms.
