Netflix unveils trailer for ‘The Perfect Lie’

Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming Dutch drama series ‘The Perfect Lie’, based on Saskia Noort’s bestselling novel ‘The Dinner Club’. The seven-part series will premiere globally on Netflix on September 10, 2026.

According to a Netflix press release,the series follows Karen, who moves with her family to Bergen and is welcomed into an exclusive dinner club known for its luxurious lifestyle. However, their seemingly perfect lives begin to fall apart after a villa catches fire and their friend Evert is killed.

As Karen looks for answers, she discovers that the group’s close friendship is built on lies, with each member hiding secrets. The story explores trust, betrayal and the consequences of uncovering the truth.

Created by Dorien Goertzen, with Jop Esmeijer as co-writer, the series stars Loes Haverkort, Remko Vrijdag, Noortje Herlaar, Edwin Jonker, Rifka Lodeizen, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Charlie-Chan Dagelet and Teun Luijkx.‘The Perfect Lie’ is directed by Dana Nechushtan and Margien Rogaar and produced by Fiction Valley.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
