Apple TV has unveiled the first full trailer for ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 ahead of its global premiere on August 5, confirming Jason Sudeikis’ return as the optimistic coach in a fresh chapter that sees him take charge of a second-division women’s football team in Richmond.
The streamer, according to a press release yesterday, also teased the show’s central theme of taking risks, with Ted and his new squad learning to “leap before they look”.
The trailer reunites fans with returning cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, while introducing newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Season 4 marks the return of the Emmy-winning comedy after what was initially billed as a three-season story.
Apple has positioned the new instalment as a fresh beginning, with Ted facing his biggest coaching challenge yet while retaining the optimism and warmth that made ‘Ted Lasso’ a global hit.
The new season will debut with one episode on August 5, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday through October 7.
