South Korea-based Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) has invited bids from India-based event management companies to organise ‘KOCCA ON SCREEN’, a two-day showcase and business networking programme in Mumbai this October aimed at connecting Korean broadcasters with Indian buyers and expanding bilateral cooperation in the content sector.
The event, tentatively scheduled for October 22-23, will bring together five leading Korean broadcasting-content companies for interaction with Indian television broadcasters, streaming platforms, production houses, distributors and other prospective buyers.
The programme will focus on Korean dramas, entertainment shows and other broadcasting intellectual property, with an emphasis on facilitating commercial partnerships and overseas market access.
According to the Request for Proposal (RFP), reviewed by Indianbroadcastingworld.com, the selected agency will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of the event, including organising content screenings, setting up business meeting areas, managing registrations, publicity, logistics, venue operations and hospitality.
The contractor will also oversee pre-event online screenings, promotional campaigns, safety management and post-event reporting.
The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) is a South Korean Government agency dedicated to the development and global promotion of K-content. It supports content creation, distribution, and international expansion across diverse sectors including broadcasting, gaming, music, animation, fashion, and emerging technologies.
A key feature of the proposed October programme will be structured business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Korean content owners and Indian buyers.
The event management agency will be required to recruit buyers, coordinate pre-scheduled meetings, provide interpretation and meeting support, maintain business logs and facilitate follow-up discussions.
KOCCA has set a target of arranging at least 10 business meetings for each participating Korean company while creating a comprehensive database of qualified Indian buyers.
The scope of work also includes producing promotional material, undertaking media outreach before and after the event, managing buyer invitations, operating a KOCCA promotional booth, and providing travel or accommodation support for one representative from each participating Korean company, along with airport transfers and hotel coordination.
KOCCA has estimated the project cost at Rs. 30 lakh, inclusive of applicable taxes, with a base project budget of Rs. 24 lakh excluding GST and other applicable taxes. The contract will run until October 30, 2026, with bids due by August 7.
The successful bidder is expected to be finalised following technical and price evaluations later in August.
The initiative is part of KOCCA’s efforts to strengthen Korea-India collaboration in the creative industries by promoting Korean broadcasting content in the Indian market and creating new opportunities for rights sales, format licensing, remakes and other cross-border content partnerships.
