Netflix has announced a new live-action series ‘Parasyte: TAMIYA’, which will release globally in 2027. Japanese actor Shioli Kutsuna will play the lead role of Ryoko Tamiya in the upcoming series.
According to an ANI report from Los Angeles,the show will be based on the popular ‘Parasyte’ franchise and will explore the story of Ryoko Tamiya, a parasite who starts questioning the relationship between humans and parasites.
‘Parasyte: TAMIYA’ will be created by filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho, known for Netflix’s ‘Parasyte: The Grey’. The series will be written by Yeon Sang-ho and Ryu Yong-jae and produced by WOWPOINT.
The upcoming series will focus on themes of survival, identity and the struggle between humans and parasites.Shioli Kutsuna, known for films like ‘Deadpool 2′, will lead the cast as Ryoko Tamiya.
