Social media star and choreographer ‘Zaid Darbar’ has stepped into the world of acting with ‘Kangla Influencer’, a new psychological thriller streaming on the ‘BULLET Microdrama’ app. The series also stars ‘Nyraa Banerjee’ in a lead role and explores the dark side of social media fame, fandom, and online obsession.
According to an official press release by BULLET Microdrama , ‘Kangla Influencer’ follows the story of ‘Palak’, 25-year-old housemaid who secretly runs a fan page dedicated to ‘Karan’, a popular social media influencer played by ‘Zaid Darbar’.
While ‘Karan’ is everything ‘Palak’ dreams of, their lives take an unexpected turn when they finally cross paths. As admiration slowly turns into obsession, hidden truths come to light, leading to an emotional and suspense-filled journey.
The series focuses on the impact of social media, the pressure of maintaining a perfect online image, and how digital admiration can sometimes blur the line between reality and illusion.
Speaking about the launch, ‘Azim Lalani’, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of the ‘BULLET Microdrama’ app, said the platform aims to bring audiences fresh and relatable stories. He added that ‘Kangla Influencer’ reflects today’s social media-driven world, where online identities and fan culture often shape people’s perceptions.
He described the series as a gripping psychological thriller filled with strong performances and unexpected twists.Sharing her experience, ‘Nyraa Banerjee’ said playing ‘Palak’ was one of her most challenging roles. She described the character as vulnerable, determined, and emotionally complex, adding that every decision ‘Palak’ makes is deeply personal. She also said she is excited for audiences to watch the series.
With ‘Zaid Darbar’ making his acting debut, ‘Kangla Influencer’ promises a mix of suspense, emotion, and drama while highlighting the growing influence of social media in modern life. The series is now streaming on the ‘BULLET Microdrama’ app.
