The London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) 2026 will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan’s iconic film ‘Lagaan’ with a special IMAX screening and an interactive session with the actor and producer.
According to a PTI report, the special event will give fans a chance to watch the Oscar nominated classic on the big screen and hear Aamir Khan share stories and insights about the making of the film. Now in its 17th edition, the London Indian Film Festival will begin next week with the european premiere of ’52 Blue’, starring Adil Hussain and Neha Dhupia. The film is directed by acclaimed Egyptian filmmaker Ali El Arabi. This year’s festival is expanding to six cities across the UK and will feature films in 10 different languages, showcasing the diversity of Indian cinema.
A major highlight of LIFF 2026 will be the introduction of a special section dedicated to a new generation of Indian films that use artificial intelligence as part of their creative process, reflecting the growing role of technology in filmmaking.The festival is expected to bring together filmmakers, actors and cinema lovers from around the world to celebrate Indian storytelling and innovation in cinema.
