The News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2023 will air on CNN-News18 on March 4th at 9:30 p.m. and News18 India at 10 p.m.

The event featured some of the industry’s biggest names, including Karan Johar, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Vidya Balan, Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher, and Manoj Bajpayee, among others.

By addressing each other during their respective speeches, newlyweds Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani stole the show with their love and chemistry.

While Sidharth Malhotra received the Best Actor (Popular Choice) award for his portrayal in ‘Shershaah’, Kiara Advani took home the much-coveted Star of the Year award for her remarkable performances in films like ‘Shershaah’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, and ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. No one could take their gaze away from the couple after Sid stepped onto the platform to congratulate his wife, Kiara.

Maniesh Paul and Atika Farooqui hosted the event. Some of the notable celebrities who won awards included Best Actress- Kriti Sanon for ‘Mimi’, Best Director- Ayan Mukherjee for ‘Brahmstra: Part One – Shiva’, and Best Song- Kriti Sanon for ‘Mimi’. Anil Kapoor for ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, Best Supporting Actor Neha Dhupia for ‘A Thursday’, Best Supporting Actress Divya Dutta for ‘Dhaakad’, Best Performance in a Negative Role Anupam Kher, Extraordinary Performance of the Year Manoj Bajpayee for ‘The Family Man 2’ won Best Actor (Web Series). Huma Qureshi for ‘Maharani’, Best Web Series Actress Rajkummar Rao for ‘Monica, O My Darling’, Best Actor (Jury) Vidya Balan for ‘Jalsa’ was named Best Actress by the Jury. Breakthrough Performance of the Year- Bhumi Pednekar, among others, took home the award this year.
